        develop the GODAE High Resolution SST (GHRSST) Long Term Stewardship
        and Reanalysis Facility (LTSRF).  This
        first phase was to implement the archive and long term stewardship
        aspects of the system.  NODC now automatically acquires, generates
        metadata and formally archives all of the GHRSST satellite SST data
        sets on a daily basis.]]></description>
